Okay I took this defensive handgun course one time and this was a thing they said to us in the class that really stuck with me. Literally the whole first day of the course is about understanding when it’s okay to shoot someone and when it isn’t. Basically they’re trying to get you to understand that just because you’re mad or scared doesn’t mean it’s okay to hurt someone. Holy shit yknow? Like let that sink in. Why don’t they make this clear to you in kindergarten? Why do we spend our whole lives learning this? I guess when you have to think about shooting someone it puts it into really extreme terms but it really made me think like damn… I’ve probably hurt people because I’m mad or scared a lot in my life. And that’s probably why a lot of people have hurt me. Anyway. Something to think about.
